My inspiration for this project was the "sphere" shape. I knew the project was sphered before anything else.
At the time, I found a great fascination with some interesting antique clocks that have been designed vertically with the motor at the bottom, then hours, minutes and seconds stacked on top.
These designs allowed for elaborate scenes on each level.
Taking my sphere inspired mood to the realm of time made perfect sense.
The outer sphere parts are manipulated by the clock movement. As such, the red (hour) and yellow (minute) spheres are rolled around a track, indicating the time.
